I had the good fortune to work on Microsoft at Wieden + Kennedy and Blue Marble. The UK spots for the global "Heroes" campaign and the Windows98 launch (which won the One Show Interactive Gold - Banner Campaign) were two highlights at W+K. They ran around the world and unlike the banners of today, had click-thru rates in the 10-15% range.

At BlueMarble, we handled the entire online launch of Internet Explorer 3. I was even on stage with Bill Gates at the launch, and Microsoft featured me in an ad for their ActiveX language.
